Qin Quan begins with an object of authority: the standardized bronze weight of the Qin era. Translated into a teapot, that compact mass becomes a study in balance, broad at the foot, quietly rounded through the body and gathered beneath a domed lid with an open bridge finial.

Dai Chenguang handmade this contemporary example in Yixing Zisha using zini reserved since the 1970s. The deep reddish-purple surface gives the weight-derived form the density its history suggests.

At 280 ml, the pot is sized for a shared tea session while retaining the concentrated presence of the Qin Quan form. The short spout and circular handle remain close to the body, while a multi-hole filter sits behind the pour.

Dai Chenguang's marks appear on the base, handle, inner wall and lid. Two documented base-seal arrangements are used, so the received mark may differ from the photographed example while remaining the same maker and model.
