Jingdezhen Hand-Thrown Reactive-Glaze Miniature Porcelain Vases

Blue glaze gathers, thins, and runs across five hand-thrown Jingdezhen porcelain forms. Pale blue opens into white, violet, and reddish tones around the shoulder and rim, so the kiln has left a different passage of color on every profile.

The collection is made for water and close-range use. Narrow mouths hold a single fine stem or branch upright; the wide-mouth form gives a small water-rooted cutting more room. Because the bodies are hand-thrown and the glaze is reactive, small differences in profile, color density, and glaze flow are part of the character of each piece.

One vase brings a concentrated note of color to a desk or shelf.
