The Yuhuchun is recognized by one continuous, bottom-weighted curve: a flared mouth, slender neck, gently descending shoulder, and pear-shaped body. This Longquan version is hand-thrown and finished in a pale celadon crackle glaze that lets the silhouette remain the first impression.

The British Museum records that Yuhuchun vessels developed from a Song-period form and were used to contain wine in the Yuan dynasty. The shape later traveled widely in ceramic traditions, but its appeal remains physical rather than academic: it narrows comfortably through the neck, then settles into a full lower body.

The contemporary Longquan vase lets a Song-derived silhouette meet the pale blue-green depth of celadon and a branching crackle network. Displayed empty, it is a study in one continuous curve; with a few structural stems, the narrow neck gives the arrangement height without hiding the body.

The 31 cm / 12.2 in version works on a cabinet or side table. At 41 cm / 16.1 in, the larger version has the scale for an entryway console or a more open display.
