This large globular vase, traditionally known as a tianqiubing, features a broad spherical body paired with a tall, cylindrical neck. This contemporary Qianlong-style edition draws on the decorative traditions of eighteenth-century Qing court porcelain, balancing a robust silhouette with finely painted botanical decoration.

The composition is executed using the fencai (famille rose) technique. Artisans use opaque glass-white enamel to soften and model the overglaze colors on high-fired Jingdezhen porcelain. A secondary firing at lower temperatures between 700 and 900°C yields softly layered color and delicate tonal transitions.

The painted scene centers on sturdy branches supporting blooming magnolias, crabapples, and lush peonies. Together, these motifs form the traditional visual rebus Yutang Fugui, expressing wishes for distinction, prosperity, and abundance within the household. Finished with a hand-painted gilt rim, the 40-centimeter-high vase is suited to a wide console, entry table, cabinet, or low display stand where the full spherical silhouette can be viewed clearly.
