Jingdezhen Wood-Fired Blue-and-White Millefleurs Teacup

There is almost no empty ground on this teacup. Cobalt flowers overlap from rim to foot and continue inside, turning a compact drinking vessel into a close field of line, petal and leaf.

The historic millefleurs pattern is also known as wanhuajin, or myriad-flower brocade. It developed at the Qianlong court as a dense multicolored design. This contemporary Jingdezhen cup translates that abundance into blue-and-white alone, replacing enamel color with changes in cobalt density and brushwork.

The 120 ml capacity suits concentrated tea sessions, while the fully worked surface rewards close viewing between infusions. There is no quiet reverse side: every angle carries another passage of the floral field.
