Red lotus blossoms open through a framework of cobalt leaves and scrolling stems, giving this Jingdezhen cup a palette that changes at every turn. The same red-and-blue conversation continues inside, where a single lotus sits beneath the tea.

Underglaze red is less predictable in firing than cobalt blue, which is why the two colors rarely feel mechanically identical from piece to piece. Wood firing adds another variable, leaving slight shifts in tone and surface that give each contemporary cup its own fired character.

The tall foot lifts the painted bowl above the table and gives a comfortable point of control when the cup is warm. At 150 ml, it works as a generous personal cup. A decorative four-character 雍正年製 mark on the base completes the Qing-style reference, while the red lotus beneath the tea gives the last view of the composition.
