Dehua Polychrome Guanyin Porcelain Sculpture on Pink Lotus
▪ BESPOKE ARCHIVAL PACKAGING WITH EVERY ACQUISITION
White robes, a pink lotus seat and fine gold-toned lines give this Guanyin a light, ceremonial presence. The figure holds a willow branch beside a small vase, while colored jewelry and patterned borders bring definition to the otherwise pale porcelain form.
Dehua has a long history of making porcelain devotional figures, and Guanyin became one of its most enduring subjects. In established Guanyin imagery, the willow branch is associated with healing and compassionate relief. This contemporary polychrome interpretation keeps those recognizable attributes while introducing a warmer, more decorative palette for the home.
The willow, vase and pink lotus make compassion, relief and purity immediately legible, while the raised floral base lifts the figure visually from a console, shrine or cabinet. Three heights allow the same blessing to move from a private devotional object to a more prominent room-scale presence.
