Hand-Carved Yixing Zini Shipiao Teapot with Lotus
▪ BESPOKE ARCHIVAL PACKAGING WITH EVERY ACQUISITION
The Shipiao form is built from a broad triangular body, low center of gravity and bridge-shaped lid knob. On this 200 ml zini pot, a carved lotus softens that geometry without obscuring it.
Yixing teapots have long shared space with calligraphy, painting and objects for the scholar's table. The lotus carving continues that literati relationship by treating the unglazed clay wall as a surface for line, keeping vessel and image in the same material rather than applying decoration afterward.
The solo pot keeps the tea table focused on one brewing tool. The complete set extends one continuous clay language from teapot to cup, while the hand-carved lotus gives the broad Shipiao wall a subject associated with purity and integrity.
