A hand-painted Jingdezhen blue-and-white Yuhuchun vase with pine, bamboo and plum motifs, high-fired for quiet tabletop and cabinet display.

This is a contemporary Xuande-style blue-and-white Yuhuchun vase, not presented as an antique. The form keeps the softened pear-shaped body, narrow neck, and gently flared mouth associated with the Yuhuchun silhouette, giving the painted decoration a clear vertical rhythm.

The porcelain body is made in Jingdezhen from porcelain stone and kaolin. The cobalt decoration is painted by hand, covered with a clear glaze, and high-fired at approx. 1300°C. After firing, the blue sits beneath the glaze, with darker cobalt gathering along branches, leaves, and fine outlines.

The main decoration follows the Chinese Three Friends of Winter theme: pine, bamboo, and plum. Pine branches give the composition structure, while bamboo leaves and plum blossoms move across the white porcelain ground. A banana-leaf band circles the neck, with scrolling lotus detail below it and a lotus-petal border near the foot.

At 26 cm tall, the vase is made for close viewing rather than grand architectural display. It belongs naturally on a tea table, writing desk, cabinet, sideboard, or study shelf, where the curve of the body and the brushwork can be seen at close range.
