Dehua Emerald-Robe Standing Guan Gong Ceramic Sculpture

One foot advances across a crag-like ceramic base as the crescent blade rises beside the figure. The green turban and long emerald robe make this Guan Gong immediately recognizable from across a room, while gold-colored armor details and the dark rock form break up the vertical silhouette.

This is the most architectural Guan Gong in the group. The rocky pedestal gives the 42.5 cm figure its own terrain, turning a devotional subject into a complete scene rather than a freestanding portrait.
