Dehua Hand-Modeled Coral Peony Relief Porcelain Vase

Coral-peach peonies move in a loose branch across the white pear-shaped body, with celadon-green leaves and warm brown stems giving the relief its depth. The arrangement is more open than the pink peony version: broad areas of glaze remain visible between blossoms, and the branch can be followed from foot to shoulder.

The Chinese title Hua Kai Fu Gui connects flowers in bloom with prosperity. Here that familiar idea is handled through scale and spacing rather than excess. The flowers are built petal by petal and applied to the vessel before high firing, so each size reads as a sculptural object even without cut stems.

The more open composition makes the coral version especially effective in a restrained interior: white porcelain remains visible, but every turn reveals another petal, leaf, or section of branch. Offered in three sizes with a fitted black stand, it moves from a compact cabinet piece to a larger console-height gift of blossoming prosperity.
